PowerMac users who want to experience VRML can now download our Live3D for PowerMac 1.0.Live3D Bird DemoCurrent users of Live3D for Windows will be happy to see improvements and bug fixes in our final version of Live3D for Windows, Live3D 1.0.

Siggraph '96 logoSiggraph '96 was a milestone event for the VRML community. Netscape shared in this with its premier public demonstration of the new Live3D 2.0. This new implementation o f the Live3D platform supports both the VRML 1.0 and 2.0 specifications natively and is designed to be plugin extensible via Netscape LiveConnect.

KINETIX AND NETSCAPE COLLABORATE TO DRIVE 3D ON INTERNET AND INTRANETS

Kinetix LogoKinetix, the multimedia section within Autodesk(R), Inc. an d Netscape will now integrate products and technologies to advance the use and acceptance of 3D applications. Kinetix will ensure that MAX VRML2, its new plug-in for 3D Studio MAX that outputs 3D m odels and environments in Moving Worlds VRML 2.0 format also supports Live3D. Kinetix also will incorporate Netscape's Live3D as a native object within Kinetix's Hyperwire(TM) 2D and 3D Web title authoring environment.
